Phil Prouty, who’s had a long and illustrious career in the wireless industry, is now serving as cofounder, executive director and head of distribution at Defense Mobile, a prepaid wireless service for the 52 million Americans who are veterans, active military personnel or their immediate family members. He’s starting the company with Brendan and Drew Reilly, brothers who are CEO and CFO, as well as another industry vet, Peter Lurie, who’s non-executive chairman. The four founders have rounded up an impressive group of employees who have distinguished themselves in both the military and the wireless industries. The company has also recruited senior military officers as advisors.
